What this policy covers

This policy describes how Fendoria collects, uses, and retains personal data when you visit fendoria.club or contact the editorial desk. It applies to this site only. If you reach the desk through a social platform, a newsletter relay, or a wire subscription, the terms of that service also apply to what you send through it.

We keep the wording close to how the desk actually works: what arrives in a tip form, what our servers write down on their own, and how long each of those records lives. Questions about this policy can be sent through the contact page.

Information we collect

Two streams reach the desk, and they behave differently. One is what you choose to type. The other is what the server writes down on its own while the page loads.

Provided by you

Name, email address, message content

When you use a contact or tip form, we receive the name you enter, the email address you want the reply sent to, and the text of your message. Nothing else in the form is required, and nothing is added to the record automatically from other places on the site. If you write to [email protected] directly, we also keep that email thread.

Generated by your visit

Pages requested and basic device information

Standard server logs record which pages were requested, when, and from which network address, along with coarse device and browser information. These logs tell us whether a story was read and whether an error interrupted the page. They are not used to build a profile of an individual reader, and we do not combine them with message records.

Why we collect it

Each record has one job. If a request can be answered without holding onto your details, we do that instead.

Message Reading your question, replying to it, verifying a detail when follow-up is needed, and keeping an internal record of the request. While the request is open, then in the editorial record
Email address Sending the reply, and reaching you again only if a correction or clarification affects what you sent. With the message record
Page requests Keeping the site running, spotting errors, and seeing which desks readers actually spend time on. A shorter window, extended only for security or troubleshooting
Device details Diagnosing layout and loading problems on the browsers readers actually use. With the server logs

We do not use contact records for advertising, and we do not sell or rent reader lists.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files placed on your device. This site uses them for basic functionality, so that preferences and session details survive a page change, and where applicable for aggregate measurement of site usage. Aggregate means we see totals, not who read what.

Details of the categories used and how to control them are set out in the cookie policy. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings; the reading pages will still load.

An overnight political newsroom with rows of dark monitors and one desk lamp lit over a stack of wire paper
The desk reads totals, not individuals. Aggregate measurement is reported as page-level counts.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal data. Information may be shared with service providers that host or maintain the site, only to the extent needed to perform those functions, or where required by law or valid legal process.

Source information is handled according to the terms agreed when it was provided. If you send something in confidence, say so in the message and expect the desk to hold to the arrangement you described; a general inquiry sent through the standard form is treated as an ordinary reader message.

Hosting

Providers that keep the site online

Companies that run our servers and security filtering see the traffic needed to serve a page. They may not use it for their own marketing, and access is limited to what the job requires.

Held for law

Requests with legal force

Where a court order or valid legal process requires disclosure, we release only what the demand specifically covers and ask for scope to be narrowed where it can be. We do not volunteer reader records to inquiries that lack that footing.

Sources

Terms agreed when information was provided

Material given on an agreed basis is kept to the terms of that agreement. If you later want those terms changed, write to the desk and we will work from the original arrangement.

Retention

Records live as long as they have a job. Contact and tip messages are kept for as long as needed to handle the request and maintain an editorial record. Server logs are retained for a shorter period unless they are needed for security or troubleshooting. Retention periods may be adjusted where a legal obligation applies.

Messages Held while the request is open, then kept in the editorial record
Server logs A shorter window, extended only when security or a fault requires it
Legal holds Extended only where a legal obligation or process requires it

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Requests can be sent through the contact page and will be reviewed against applicable law.

Tell us what you want done with the record and which email address it came from, since that is how the desk finds it. If local law gives you a right the desk cannot meet, we will say so and explain the reason rather than leave the request unanswered.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information submitted to the site. No method of transmission or storage is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information you do not need to share. If a question can be answered without a phone number, an address, or an identity document, leave them out of the message.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The revised version will be posted on this page, with the review date at the top brought forward. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy. If a change affects what is collected or how long it is kept, the new wording will say so plainly.

Questions readers send us

The practical side of the policy, in the order the questions usually arrive. If your case is not covered here, write to the desk and we will answer it directly.

You can read the site without giving the desk your name.

Fendoria editorial desk · privacy policy

Do I have to give my name to read a story?
No. Reading pages at fendoria.club does not require an account or a name. A name is only part of the record when you choose to write to the desk through a contact or tip form, and it is used to address the reply.
How do I ask for a copy of what you hold about me?
Write through the contact page and say that you are making an access request. Include the email address the original message came from so the desk can match the record. We will review the request against applicable law and reply to the address on file.
Can a message be deleted after it is sent?
Usually yes, and the reply will confirm what was removed. One limit: if the desk is already under a legal obligation to retain a record, deletion has to wait until that obligation ends, and we will tell you which should apply in your case.
Are reader lists ever given to advertisers?
No. We do not sell personal data, and contact records are not used for advertising. Measurement on this site is limited to aggregate counts of page use, which do not identify a reader.
What does the desk ask for when I submit a tip?
Facts a reporter can check: what happened, when, where, and how you know. A reply address helps if a question comes back. Leave out anything you do not want the desk to hold, and say plainly if the material is confidential so it is handled on the terms you set at the start.
How fast will I hear back?
The desk reads messages Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM ET. Straightforward questions usually get an answer the same working day in which they are read; requests that need a legal review take longer, and the reply will say who is looking at it.
